Who We Are
At THICKSOLE, we bring decades of collective experience in web design, development and online marketing built on a solid background in the book publishing business. At no point during our process will you be wondering 'what’s next?'. We have a powerful process developed over many projects to be the most effective way to build a fantastic website that drives quality traffic and leads.
A website's design is only as strong as the results it produces over time. We work with businesses to understand what it takes to move the needle. Then we implement smart direct response and inbound marketing plans matched with effective design and web development to achieve amazing results.
Born in New York City, and now headquartered in the heart of Fairfield, Connecticut, THICKSOLE helps professionals not only here in Fairfield County, but Stamford, CT, New Jersey, and New York City are short hops away. And of course, we’re no strangers to working with clients remotely across the US and abroad.
Here in Fairfield County, we're leaders in the local web industry, organizing and speaking at events like the WordPress Fairfield, and re-launching WordCamp CT in 2018.
Behind the scenes
After numerous corporate training programs, we launched our WordPress BootCamp, both an online and live course that takes non-technical professionals and gets them up-to-speed with the ins and outs of WordPress. From there, we learned of deeper needs our clients had and now work with them to not only build websites, but produce online programs that compliment their businesses, direct response marketing programs that offer immediate, measurable results, and tactical content marketing programs from SEO & tactical blogging.
Countless website projects and consultations later, we broke into new territory and launched our first iPhone (iOS) App working with John Wiley & Sons. We went on to produce over 30 apps in a short time period expanding into Android and iPad applications. The mobile landscape was exciting but it was difficult for clients to find returns on their apps. It did, however, open the door to going deep into "responsive" web design & development.
The client base grew and morphed into individual professionals, authors, and entrepreneurs that needed to get on the web in an affordable way. WordPress started taking root and it was the perfect hammer to this nail. I left my 10 year career in the professional & technical book publishing industry as a marketer and publicist of a product line that carried $35 million/year in sales. From here, THICKSOLE was full gas in website design & development, hosting and maintenance.
THICKSOLE was born in NYC as a side project to help folks through their personal and professional tech issues. Working all over NYC, the basic idea was, "tell me what you do and I'll work to help you do it better using affordable technology." During that time there was a lot of one-on-one training using personal computers, networking, productivity methods, and troubleshooting.
