Here’s a quick list of what’s publishing this week in Business & Self Help. More and more titles and less and less attention. Googling a number of these authors, I can already tell you which books will never make it. Looks like the winner is the Brian Tracy book, “Eat That Frog!”. Here’s an author that has it together – easily found in search, clean site that immediately tells visitors the 3 keys:
- What is it?
- Who’s it for?
- What do I get?
It’s not over designed and it’s about the audience – NOT the author.
If you look other titles, like David Stevenson’s “Secrets of Wealthy People” or Jason Poole’s “Hustler’s Handbook” – both good titles that sound like they could be something. But, when you do a search… there’s nothing happening. Best case scenario for these two is they get picked up as a related title on Amazon and sales happen that way (in addition to friends and family). But that’s it… There’s no follow-through. “I bought the book – now what?”
How about a 7 day Hustler’s Quick Start Course? Or a 30 Day Course to Adopt the top 10 Habits of Wealthy People? These books might be great and sell 100,000 copies, and I might be wrong… But even if they are both great successes – they could have been greater with the development of an online platform. That’s fact.
Here’s that list I mentioned…
